Adra (Tai) Cyf intend to apply for planning permission for the erection of 25 residential flats, access, car parking, landscaping and associated works on vacant brownfield land at the old Railway Institute site, Euston Road, Bangor.

Mae'r cynnig yn ceisio datblygu 25 o fflatiau preswyl newydd. Mae'r mynediad presennol ac arfaethedig i'r safle trwy'r gornel dde-orllewinol o lethr serth Ffordd Euston.


Roedd y safle mewnlenwi tir llwyd arfer bod yn gartref i adeilad y Railway Institute, cafodd yr adeilad ei ddymchwel yn ystod 2016. Ers hynny, nid yw’r safle wedi’i gynnal, mae wedi tyfu'n wyllt ac yn falltod ar yr amgylchedd o'i amgylch.

Ers dymchwel yr adeilad bu nifer o geisiadau cynllunio ar y safle. Ar hyn o bryd mae caniatâd cynllunio gweithredadwy ar gyfer 48 o unedau byw myfyrwyr.

Bydd y datblygiad arfaethedig yn darparu 25 o fflatiau fforddiadwy mawr eu hangen i'r ardal leol trwy ddeiliadaethau fforddiadwy cymysg o rent cymdeithasol neu chanolradd. Bydd y cynnig yn sicrhau bod digon o fflatiau fforddiadwy i alluogi unigolion a theuluoedd aros o fewn Bangor, heb orfod edrych y tu allan i'r ddinas am opsiynau tai.



The proposal seeks to develop 25 new residential apartments accessed via the existing entrance point from Euston Road.

The existing brownfield infill site was formerly a home to the Railway Institute building, the building was demolished during 2016. Since then, the site has not been maintained and it has become overgrown and a blight on the surrounding environment.

Since the demolition of the building there have been numerous planning applications at the site. There is currently an implementable planning permission for 48 student living units.

The proposed development will provide 25 much needed affordable apartments to the local area through affordable tenures of social or intermediate rent. The proposal will ensure there is sufficient affordable apartments for individuals and families to remain within Bangor, without having to look outside the city for housing options.
