Erection of 24 residential units, access, car parking, landscaping and associated works
Mango Planning & Development Limited, as planning agents for Adra (Tai) Cyf, intend to submit a planning application for the above development on the former Jewson site in Bangor. Before submitting the application it is a statutory requirement that neighbours and statutory consultees be consulted on the proposal for a period of a minimum of 28 days.
The site comprises a 0.59 hectare of brownfield land located to the north of the High Street in the Hirael area of Bangor, the site has been vacant since the Jewson’s business ceased operating. The site has since been cleared of all buildings. The site is allocated for housing in the adopted Anglesey and Gwynedd Joint Local Development Plan 2011 - 2026.
This is a full planning application for 24 residential units as follows:
- 12 x 1 Bed (2 Person) Apartment
- 2 x 2 Bed (3 Person) Apartment
- 3 x 2 Bed (3 Person) House
- 1 x 4 Bed (7 Person) House
- 3 x 2 Bed (4 Person) House
- 3 x 3 Bed (5 Person) House
The proposal also includes the formation of a new access in the south eastern corner of the site with 35 parking spaces within the site and 820 sq m of open space.
The application is supported by technical information addressing affordable housing, housing mix, drainage, green infrastructure and ecology. A separate SAB consent for drainage will also be required.
